Haynes Martin

Haynes Martin joined Kingsland First Methodist Church as Senior Pastor in June 2023.  Born and raised in Atlanta, he is married to his wife Michelle, also a native of the Atlanta area.  They both went to college at the University of Georgia and served on staff at the Wesley Foundation at UGA.

A graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, Haynes helped plant a non-denominational church in Athens, which he worked at from 2007-2014.  He then served in the United Methodist Church from 2016-2023, pastoring churches in Macon, Ellaville, and Columbus.  He is excited to now be a part of the Global Methodist Church.  He loves the Triune God, the local church, making disciples, and seeing the lost saved by grace. The foundation of Methodism is rooted in revival, and Haynes believes the GMC is ready for another great move of the Holy Spirit!

Haynes also enjoys reading, playing guitar and drums, is an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan, and he and Michelle love hanging out with their dog Buddy.
