Harvest House Food Pantry
Open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each Tuesday and Thursday.
The Harvest House food pantry at Kingsland First Methodist Church provides food, clothing, love and prayer for those in need in Camden County. In operation since 2008, the food pantry served 4,275 people representing 1,873 households in 2018.
The pantry provides both temporary and long term food assistance. All qualified clients receive USDA foods the GNAP program provides foods for households with children. Clients are required to show a Georgia ID for head of household and a SSN for each person in their household. All information collected is 100% confidential. There is a clothes closet available on premises for Harvest House clients.
Volunteer Needs in the Food Pantry Ministry
Office Workers: Assist clients in filling out paperwork.
Clothes Closet Workers: Open clothes closet one or two days a week assisting clients and straightening up clothes on racks.
Service Area Workers: Fill client orders and carry them to their vehicle. Help unload the truck and stock shelves as necessary.
Drivers: Add your name to the call list of drivers available to go to 2nd Harvest in Brunswick on Tuesdays to pick up food orders. You must drive your own truck.
